Mirecourt, French Violin Labelled Soriot Circa 1930s (OV26031)

This violin was made in Mirecourt, France in the Laberte workshops circa 1930s.
It features a beautifully flamed two piece maple back and is finished with an amber varnish. Well chosen spruce has been used for the belly/front and carving is excellent with lovely arching.
It possesses a warm, sweet and resonant tone with great volume and response across the strings.
A fantastic instrument to play and in excellent condition. It is set up with Helicore Strings and a Wittner Tailpiece.
