German Bow from Otto Durschmitt Workshop

The workshop of Otto Durschmidt was founded in 1894 in Markneukerchen, Germany.   The family still run the firm to this day and there bows are typically stamped on the stick and sometimes have a coat of arms on the frog.

This particular example is nickel mounted and plays very easily.   It has an attractive stick of pernambuco.

German bows offer good value for money and are suitable for traditional and folk music as the sticks tend to be firm.

Price: £550.00
