German Amati Violin circa 1880s (OV24054)

Length of Back:  355mm

This violin was made circa 1880s in one of the workshops in Markneukirchen in Germany.  It is based on the Amati design and is finished in an antiqued amber varnish.  it has an attractive two piece maple back and a very nicely carved scroll.

The violin plays with a bright, clear tone with plenty of volume across all four strings.  It is set up with Evah Pirazzi Strings and a Wittner tailpiece.  

Suitable for a committed student in the classical genre.

It comes supplied in a lightweight case.
