Mirecourt Violin labelled Rene Jacquemin 1927 (OV25072)

"Mirecourt Violin labelled Rene Jacquemin 1927 (OV25072)" has been added to your basket.

Length of back:  360mm

This violin was made in Mirecourt around 1920 in the atelier of Rene Jacquemin, whose work is renowned for good quality.

It is a Stradivari model with an attractively figured two piece maple back and good quality top of spruce.   It is beautifully finished in a spirit based varnish of amber-brown with a beautifully cut scroll and edging.  It is in very good condition throughout.

The violin has a rich and sonorous tone with plenty of volume.   It’s set up with Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece for fine tuning.

A fine instrument suited to a committed classical student.

Comes in a lightweight case.
