Orchard Violins, Ballymoyer

JTL Violin, Mirecourt 1910 (OV25071)

The JTL violin workshops in Mirecourt produced a huge number of good violins during the early 1900s.   Skilled luthiers supervised good standards of production to meet the surge in demand for students learning classical violin.

This violin is one such example.  It is finished in a honey coloured spirit varnish and has a well made scroll, which is lined in black ink.  (It has a light scratch to the back, which is displayed in the photos and some other signs of wear commensurate with its age).

The violin plays with a good full tone and sonority across all four strings.  It is set up with Helicore Strings and Wittner tailpiece with an effortless string action.

A good violin for a committed student or adult returning to lessons.  Offered at a very affordable price.

Price: £950.00
