JTL Violin labelled ‘Le Parisien' (OV25015)
The JTL violin workshops in Mirecourt produced a huge number of good violins during the early 1900s. Skilled luthiers supervised good standards of production to meet the surge in demand for students learning classical violin.
This violin is one such example. It is finished in a deep, plum-red spirit varnish typical of old French trade instruments and it features a well carved scroll. It’s a lovely lightweight instrument with good proportions throughout, which contributes to a resonant and sonorous tone.
It is set up with Evah Pirazzi Strings and Wittner tailpiece with a very comfortable and low string action.
A good violin for a committed student or adult returning to lessons.
