Mirecourt, French Violin, Labelled Clotelle (OV26015)
Clotelle violins are respected instruments from the historic Mirecourt region of France, produced by the renowned Laberte-Humbert Frères workshops during the 1920s and 30s. Though "H. Clotelle" was a trade name rather than a single maker, these violins were crafted using high-quality tonewoods, often featuring beautiful flamed maple and rich golden-brown varnishes, under the supervision of master luthiers. This violin offers a warm, resonant, and balanced tone and is suitable for an advancing student and traditional fiddler alike. It is in great condition and is set up with a Wittner tailpiece and Pirastro Evah Pirazzi strings.
