JTL Pernambuco Bow stamped Buthod a Paris

This is  a fine quality nickel mounted bow from the renowned JTL Workshops in Mirecourt, France circa 1910.

The round stick is of fine pernambuco wood and is stamped ‘CH Buthod a Paris’. It is finished in a reddish brown patina and the ebony frog has an inlaid pearl eye.

This bow plays extremely well, it has a nice feel and is responsive.  It draws a good full sound and is suitable for a committed classical student or advanced traditional player.
