Orchard Violins, Ballymoyer

Laberte-Humbert Violin labelled H Clotelle (OV26013)

The length of the back is 360 mm).

Clotelle Violins were good quality instruments made in the Laberte-Humbert workshops in the 1920-30s.    These violins were of good tonal quality and were very nicely made from excellent tonewoods.  This one has a good two piece maple back and is finished in a golden brown varnish, typical of many Mirecourt instruments.

The violin has a warm and resonant tone with sonorous G string.  A great instrument with good volume and balance throughout.  Suitable for a committed classical student or Irish/Scottish Traditional Fiddler.

It is in great condition and is set up with a Wittner  tailpiece and Pirastro Evah Pirazzi strings.

Comes supplied in a new lightweight case.
