Mirecourt Violin labelled Louis Hequin (OV22123) —SOLD
The length of the back is 357 mm).
Hecquin Violins were made in one of the Mirecourt Factories between 1910-30. The label reads ‘Lutherie Artistique Louis Hecquin’ which is a trademark name rather than the name of the maker.
This violin has a two piece maple back and is finished in a plum-red varnish. It was made in an Amati design with pronounced arching to the front and back. The violin possesses a sweet resonant tone which is easily produced. It is comfortable to play and will make practising a pleasure! Ideal for a committed student or amateur orchestral player.
It is in good condition and set up with Wittner tailpiece and Spirocore strings.
Comes supplied in a new lightweight case.
