JTL Violin, labelled Artiste (OV23076) —SOLD—
The JTL workshop in Mirecourt, France was a prolific business from 1870-1950. Some of the renowned makers of the time supervised the quality of instruments being manufactured.
This violin has a two piece maple back and good quality top of spruce. It’s finished in a golden brown varnish and is in very good condition throughout, still having its original rosewood pegs.
The tone is balanced and clear with plenty of volume. It’s set up with Helicore strings and Wittner tailpiece for fine tuning.
A solid instrument and suited to a committed student. Comes in a lightweight case.
