Mirecourt Violin branded 'François Pillement' (OV230816)

This is a good quality violin made by François Pillement, who ran a small workshop in the Mirecourt region of France in the 1800s.  It is finished in a dark brown varnish, typical of Pillement’s work and branded internally.  It is a fine instrument to play with a resonant, clear and focused tone.  Set up with ebony fittings and Evah Pirazzi strings, it comes supplied in a new lightweight case.

A suitable instrument for a committed classical student or violin collector.
