German Violin - Amati Copy (OV23111)

Length of Back: 357mm

This is an attractive German factory instrument from the 1920s, made in the Amati style.  It has a one piece maple back and a neatly cut scroll, typical of the Amati styling.  The violin is finished in a lovely dark brown spirit varnish, which is pleasing to the eye.  It's fitted with a Wittner tailpiece with integrated fine tuners.

It plays very easily with a sweet and clear tone!  A great violin for an adult beginner or for someone starting back to violin playing after a long break!
